2024 ELECTION RESULTS

The November 5 General Election brought many important victories for PECG-endorsed ballot measures and candidates, and a handful of defeats.  We are happy to report that the two PECG-supported ballot measures – Proposition 2 (bonds for public schools and community college facilities) and Proposition 4 (bonds for water, wildfire, and climate solutions) – were approved by voters.  Both measures will fund hundreds of projects and programs directed by Unit 9 engineers and related professionals in multiple state departments.

In legislative races, PECG’s recommended candidate prevailed in 75 out of 86 contests in which we took a position.  This includes 23 victories in races for competitive open legislative seats.  To begin the 2025-26 legislative session, the Assembly will be comprised of 60 Democrats, 19 Republicans, and have one open seat.  The Senate will have 30 Democrats, 9 Republicans, and a vacant seat.

Complete election results for PECG-endorsed candidates can be found here.  Open seat candidates are in bold.  Candidates challenging an incumbent legislator are noted with an asterisk.
