PECG’s sponsored bill (AB 1729) to provide flexible telework rights for PECG members, and all eligible state employees, was referred to the Suspense File by the Senate Appropriations Committee.  The Committee is expected to take up the Suspense File, including AB 1729, on August 13.

At this time, PECG is encouraging members to reach out to their Senator and request that they vote for the bill.  Doing so will help build support for AB 1729 among the Senate Appropriations Committee members and all Senators.

To view the various letter options, click “Switch Message” on the form.  Once you enter your home address and click “Send Message,” the system will then email your letter to the Senate Appropriations Committee member associated with your home address.  If you are a constituent of one of the Committee members, they will get your letter as well as the hundreds of other letters being sent from other state employee constituents.

Here are the Senators that sit on the Appropriations Committee:

Sabrina Cervantes, Chair (D-Riverside)
Kelly Seyarto, Vice Chair (R-Murrieta)
Christopher Cabaldon (D-Yolo)
Megan Dahle (R-Bieber)
Tim Grayson (D-Concord)
Laura Richardson (D-South Bay)
Aisha Wahab (D-Hayward)
